Information and Pictures of Emus

The Llamas are Starsky and Hutch, along with Sybil when  she was very young.

If you look at the front of Nancy, you can see how she has some feathers draping in front.
This  is generally how you can distinguish female from male emu's.

It is hard to tell the difference in a male and female emu when they are young.

As they mature. usually the female will make a drumming noise.
The female usually has a drape-type of feathers on her chest.....

These eggs can be cooked.. scrambled is the best way.  They taste like chicken eggs.  Some people will blow out the egg and use the shell for crafts. The egg shells are much thicker than of a chicken egg.
