Sybil's  Den  Forum Rules
 
1.
This is a family friendly board, no foul language and no inappropriate "Adult" topics.
This applies to member art and photographs as well as.
 
 
2.
This forum supports responsible private ownership of exotic animals.
While differences of opinion are respected, no animal rights propaganda will be allowed.
If a member is using this forum for an anti-ownership agenda that member will be banned.
 
 
3.
 NO FLAMING  (also known as bashing, is a hostile and insulting interaction between posters)
 
 
4.
 NO TROLLING   (posting to provoke others, luring them to flame or rant). Trolling is sometimes done involuntarily.
 
 
5.
NO SPAM.  Spamming is posting the same thing several times. "Bumping" (posting to move a thread up on the forum list) and cross-posting (posting the same thread in several forums) are examples of spam.
 
 
6.
NO FIGHTING and NO NAME CALLING.
Taking a personal conflict to the forum is unacceptable.
 
 
7.
Threatening or harassment will result in an immediate, permanent ban.
This applies to private messages as well as posts.
 
 
8.
We discourage religious and political topics unless animal related, and reserve the right to delete them at our discretion. The topics of religion and politics should be confined to the “general” section of the forum. It would be appreciated by everyone if off-topic threads could be confined to that area.
 
 
9.
"Hi-jacking" (changing the topic of a thread to one that interests you more) is rude, If you think of something tangential to say, start a new thread.
 
 
10A.
No discussion of committing illegal acts or animal abuse such as animal fighting (like dog fighting), bestiality (discussion of anatomy or breeding in a scientific manner is okay), torture or other abuses.
   
10B.
 		 Controversial topics such as hunting or factory farming that some may think of as abusive while others may not should be confined to the "controversial animal topics" forum as much as possible.

ADDENDUM TO THE ABOVE RULES:
This is a discussion board and we are not responsible for what any member might say or do.

Libel is written word about another that is not true, costs their business money, and was done on purpose with the intent to cause harm. Libel therefore is against the rules under rule 7, but would not include such things as passing on true info or what you heard about a breeder unless you know what you heard was a lie. 

However we have no way of knowing everything about everyone to know what is true or not so we do not police what is said by member unless they obviously have violated the rules and are not responsible for any postings by members."
 
Violation of the rules will result in first, a warning. A repeated violation will result in a suspension of posting privileges. Continual violation may, at the discretion of the staff, result in a ban. Anyone found to be making double accounts after being banned, will be permanently banned.

Administration reserves the right to ban on the first violation if that violation is found to be wholly unacceptable by their judgment
 
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND:  SYBIL'S MESSAGE BOARD IS INTENDED TO SHARE ANIMAL EXPERIENCES AND HELP MEMBERS THAT PLAN ON GETTING AN EXOTIC ANIMAL..

IN OTHER WORDS, HELP EACH OTHER TO INSURE A BETTER LIFE FOR ANIMALS AND THEIR OWNERS.
